I had this same problem. I had the Keyfive program working on my XP machine but on my Windows Vista machine the drivers loaded but it would never see the serial number. But I did get it to finally work. Hope this works for you.I went and downloaded the trial version of Keyfive and installed it.

Which probably has Windows Vista drivers. It kept telling me the drivers weren't certified but I installed them anyhow. After getting it installed I went into the control panel and it said serial numbers weren't valid and started detecting the Keyfive reader and serial number. After that the old Keyfive software came up with no problem. Here is the link to Keyfive trial version.
